About Shahida Teacher
Shahida Teacher, a beloved retired high school teacher, has always found joy in cooking and sharing her culinary creations. Her decades of experience in the kitchen, combined with her deep understanding of traditional Kerala spices and cooking methods, ensure that every meal at Naalkavala is prepared to perfection. She personally oversees the preparation, guaranteeing the authentic taste and homely feel that Naalkavala is known for.
Our Meals
We specialize in Kerala-style meals, focusing on fresh, local ingredients and time-honored recipes. Our menu features a rotating selection of seasonal dishes, ensuring variety and freshness.Rice: Steamed Kerala red rice, a staple of our meals.
Curries: A variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries, including fish curry, chicken curry, vegetable stew, and more.
Sides: Thoran (stir-fried vegetables), Mezhukkupuratti (spicy stir-fry), Pappadam, and traditional pickles.
Rasam & Sambar: Flavorful and aromatic traditional South Indian broths.
